We offer a tree relocation and transplant service to commercial and residential clients throughout Cardiff. Using the latest cutting edge techniques within the industry we are able to successfully transplant trees up to 300cm in girth. A recent high profile project involved moving tree stock at the British Library at Kings Cross to allow for further development of the site.
Residential clients may require tree transplantation in Cardiff when moving house or to allow house extensions to be built. More commonly, our tree surgeons are requested by commercial clients to move trees within a development site to allow further construction to to take place. Redeployment of existing tree stocks is a cost effective and agreeable solution which benefits both developers and the community. We have even relocated trees covered by Tree Preservation Orders (subject to council agreement).

I only scored City Tree Surgeons 10 in all fields because it wouldn’t let me score any higher. To say that we are delighted with the work carried out would be an understatement and I can’t recommend City Tree Surgeons highly enough. I chose them because of the work they carried out on my neighbours trees, they’re also working on my next door but one neighbours trees as well. I will use no one else apart from City Tree Surgeons to carry out tree work in my garden in the future

I can’t fault City Tree Surgeons , from the first visit to completing the work Henri was very helpful, extremely informative and professional, the work was done with skill and care on our 500 year old horse chestnut and the clean up was thorough, you wouldn’t know they had been. I was very happy with the work done. They were quick, accurate and thoughtful. They cleared up after themselves, so much so that the garden was much more tidy than when they arrived! They worked very hard in extremely humid conditions but didn’t even stop for a break. I would be very happy to use City Tree Surgeons again and I thought their rates were very competitive

Our Tree Preparation and Transplantation Services include;
Advanced preparation involves tree crown reduction and thinning
The tree roots will also need preparation
Root balling, anti-desiccant application and pruning
Irrigation pipe installation to prevent drying out
Digging out and root balling followed crane lift
Use of tree spade machinery for semi mature trees
Use of Newman Tree Frames for large trees
Vehicles are equipped with flotation tyres allowing access to most sites
